Work From Home
Our favorite and most beloved perk for all team members – no commute! We will provide you with everything you need to do this comfortably. You will be provided with a laptop, docking station, and two monitors. We also offer a $1,000 technology stipend each year which you can use to improve your work from home life.
May 16th – August 24th we take Friday’s off – that’s 12 three day weekends every year! We work extended hours during tax season so to relax and unwind we offer this benefit to all full-time employees.
Want to take a day trip to the park or need to take time to drop-off/pick-up up the kids from school? No problem – all we ask is the that majority of your work is completed during normal business hours (Monday – Friday). We work with clients all over the United States and try our best to be available when we are needed (8am – 6pm in the Eastern, Central, or Pacific timezones).
If you’re a full-time employee, you’ll be getting a new laptop when you start working. Once you hit your 1 year workiversary, it’s yours to keep forever and ever.
Books / Courses / Education
We offer a year $1,000 education stipend each year which you can use to buy books and educational courses (CPE) that would be useful as a reference or educational material for your job.
Full-time employees start with 15 days of paid vacation per year. Days expire at the end of the calendar year. These days accrue based on hours worked.
- Year 1 – 15 days
- Year 5 – 17 days
- Year 10 – 20 days
If you’re sick, don’t come to work. Simple as that. Individual sick days are not counted as PTO and are uncapped. If you need more than 5 consecutive sick days off, you may be asked to provide verification documentation. After the 5th consecutive paid sick day, you may be required to transition to medical leave.
The following are paid holidays for full-time employees. They’re all marked on the company calendar:
- New Years Day
- Day After Tax Day
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Weekend (Thursday & Friday)
- Holiday Break (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)
- New Years Eve
- Floating Holiday (Can be used any time outside of tax season)
Health Coverage (Medical, Vision, Dental)
We do not provide company health benefits at this time. We recommend utilizing the Marketplace to purchase health insurance (if needed). The Northard family currently utilizes the Marketplace for insurance, and we’re happy to provide guidance on what worked best for our family.
Tax Season Bonus
A bonus is made available to full time employees who (1) work full time hours for the entire tax season [Last week of January – Tax Day] and (2) meet/exceed the expectations of the Partners and clients.
401(k) w/ Employer Matching
All full-time Amy Northard, CPA LLC employees are eligible for 401(k) benefits through Gusto. Amy Northard, CPA LLC matches 100% of employee 401(k) contributions up to 3% of employee compensation.
Congratulations, new parents! To help you celebrate the welcome of your new family addition (and get some much-needed family time and rest), we offer primary caregivers paid family leave as follows:
- Primary Caregivers: 6 weeks of fully paid leave, 1 additional month of unpaid time off is available for those who request it. This policy covers all full-time employees who need time away from work to care for and bond with a new child, biological or adopted.
